Transportation and Mail Services Administration

Cornell's Department of Transportation and Mail Services provides leadership in developing and implementing comprehensive, economical, flexible, and efficient programs to facilitate the movement of people, vehicles, mail, and packages. Our Mission, Vision, & Values are intended to serve our customers inside and outside the Cornell community, at the same time furthering the goals of our division and of the university as a whole. Transportation and Mail Service's administrative offices are located at 116 Maple Avenue. The director is William E. Wendt.

Commuter and Parking Services

C&PS provides comprehensive and sustainable transportation services to faculty, staff, students, and visitors; provides enforcement of parking regulations and traffic control; manages visitor information and parking booths.

Cornell Mail Services

CMS provides mail preparation, campus mail distribution, centralized metering, bar coding, and special mail services (Airborne Express, UPS, and international). Download a copy of our Mail Guide.

Contract Colleges Fleet Operations

Fleet Operations provides both permanent assignment and rental vehicles (short- or long-term) to contract college units at Cornell University.

Campus-To-Campus Executive Coach Service

C2C provides express motorcoach service between Cornell's Ithaca and NYC campuses. Buses are equipped with reclining seats, work tables, wireless and wired internet service, electric outlets at every seat, and satellite radio service. Passengers also have the added convenience of snack and beverage service and a lavatory.

Trips are reserved and paid online at C2C. For best results, the reservation system should be accessed using Internet Explorer.

CU Transit Charters

CU Transit Charters has buses and vans available for charter by the hour or by the day.

Red Runner Courier Service

Red Runner moves both people and packages throughout Cornell and beyond. Trips can be booked by phone or online.

TDMP (the Transportation Demand Management Program), provides ways for 37% of the faculty and staff of Cornell University to beat the expense of purchasing an individual parking permit.
