Visitor Information
Every day, 20,000 students, employees, and visitors make their way across the Cornell University campus. Visitors find that most academic and administrative buildings and residential areas are within easy walking distance from even the more remote parking lots, and that the area’s public transit system—TCAT—provides excellent service to all points of the campus.
On-campus parking—except in metered and most time-zone areas—is by permit only. A limited amount of non-permit parking is available after 5 p.m., including the Hoy Road parking garage and the north campus A lot.
Handicap Accessible Parking
A Cornell-issued visitor permit must be displayed along with your state-issued handicap plate or placard. If you choose to park in a handicap-accessible metered space, you must pay the meter. Inform our staff if you need accessible parking—we can direct you to a handicap space convenient to your destination.
