Short Term Parking

If you are only bringing your car to campus for a day or less, the parking meters and daily parking permits may fit the bill.  

Permits

Short-term parking permits are available for a fee from any information and parking booth (Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and at our office at 116 Maple Avenue. The prices for these permits are:

  • All-day permit, $10: valid in designated visitor areas in the Hoy Road parking garage, residence hall lots (EL, FH, MW, ND, SE, SW, WD), lots A, CF, CP, E, K, O, R, SA, T, TH, W, WE, ME; not valid in metered spaces or in loading zones. Complimentary 30-minute loading permit can be requested at the booth.
  • Four-hour permit, $6: valid in designated visitor areas in the Hoy Road parking garage, residence hall lots (EL, FH, MW, ND, SE, SW, WD), lots A, CF, CP, E, K, O, R, SA, T, TH, W, WE, ME; not valid in metered spaces or in loading zones. Complimentary 30-minute loading permit can be requested at the booth.
  • Loading permit (30 minute limit), $3: valid in loading zones and all legal parking spaces (except handicap and reserved).

Meters

Metered parking areas vary in price (most are $1.50 an hour) and time limitations, but only need to be paid Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Some metered areas have additional restrictions, so please read all signs. More…

Drop-Off Zones

Specially-signed, ten-minute drop-off spaces do not require a permit, and are open to everyone. Use them to pick-up or drop-off passengers or packages. Please note that the time limit is strictly enforced.  

FLEX Parking Areas

FLEX areas are available to Tier 6, Z, MT, and BUSN permit holders for up to two hours.
