Motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds parked on the Cornell campus must have an M sticker displayed on the right front fork, facing forward.
There is a one-time fee for the permit; there is no expiration date. Permits are not transferable; however, a permit may be reissued, at no charge, if it or its remnants are returned within one year from the date of purchase.
M permits are valid only in posted M areas. A motorcycle may also park in a metered area if time has been purchased for the space it occupies.
In certain locations, mopeds (with valid M permits) may be parked in bicycle racks, which are located outside but not immediately adjacent to a building. Because of the potential life safety hazard, mopeds or other vehicles that are gas propelled may not be stored in or immediately adjacent to campus buildings.
M Parking Areas
M areas are posted with signs and pavement markings (where practical) in the following areas or adjacent to the buildings listed. Please observe signs carefully. Areas are subject to change. Some M areas are not available December 1-April 1.
